Junior Solidity Developer (Remote)
PonderPonder (ponder.sh) is an open-source TypeScript framework for indexing EVM smart contract data. Our stack powers real-time data APIs for DeFi protocols, and we're expanding the contracts team.
We're looking for a Junior Solidity Developer to work alongside our core engineers on contract integration and indexing handlers.
What you'll do:
β’ Read, analyze and document EVM smart contracts across DeFi protocols (DEXs, lending, staking)
β’ Write and maintain indexing handlers for new protocol integrations
β’ Write Solidity test contracts and fuzzing suites (Foundry)
β’ Collaborate with the team on handler architecture and event decoding
What we're looking for:
β’ 6+ months of experience with Solidity (personal projects, hackathons, CTFs count)
β’ Understanding of EVM internals: events, ABI encoding, storage layouts
β’ Basic TypeScript β our handlers are TS-based
β’ Ability to read smart contract source and explain what a function does
Nice to have:
β’ Foundry / Hardhat experience
β’ Contributions to open-source
β’ Interest in DeFi mechanics (AMMs, lending markets, yield)
What we offer:
β’ Fully remote, async-first team
β’ $90kβ$120k depending on experience
β’ Paid open-source contribution time
β’ Small team, direct impact, no corporate process
To apply, send a short intro and links to your work (GitHub, projects, hackathons). No formal cover letter needed.
